The two authentic musicians can look back on outstanding musical careers: one played guitar on tour with Wolfgang Ambros, the other steered toward the rock ‘n’ roll of Alkbottle and the Freemen-Singers. With their dialect songs and stories of scuffles, love, drinking, winning, failing and standing up again, they give the tormented Austrian soul back some dignity and hope. We experience the originality of Die Wödmasta, for example singing about the sexiness of a woman selling sausages at a snack bar, as they rattle through their YouTube videos on an old Puch motorbike.
