JazzmbH Kufstein is truly one of the musical “originals” in the Tyrolean jazz scene. The instrumental core – consisting of piano player and bandleader Julius Lüthi, bassist Artur Egger and drummer Klaus Steidl – has been playing as a trio for more than thirty years, and the well-established ensemble is now complemented by the extraordinary voice of Alexandra Konrad. They are also regularly joined by top soloists, most recently the renowned special guests and star saxophonist Florian Bramböck. Member of the former “Vienna Art Orchestra”, he teaches jazz saxophone at the Tyrolean State Conservatory in Innsbruck and the Anton Bruckner Private University in Linz, works as a composer, and leads the Jazz Orchestra of Tyrol. His exceptional musical talent was commended in 2016 when he was awarded the Tyrolean State Prize for Art. When appearing with Jazz.m.b.H. Kufstein, the full-blooded musician plays original compositions and interesting arrangements. The quintet “Jazz.m.b.H. Kufstein feat. Florian Bramböck” is dedicated to sophisticated jazz, playing pieces from the classic and modern vocal repertoire as well as from the genres of Latin and swing, with independent, groovy interpretations that need to be seen and heard.
