Tobacco Road Blues Band
It all began in 2013 with the now legendary sentence “let’s play a little bit of blues”, which guitarist Peter Prammerdorfer said to his friend and co-guitarist Mike Diwald. They put the idea into practice, and for around a year played as a blue cover band, featuring songs by Hendrix, Clapton, Moore, King etc. The Tobacco Road Blues Band was born. For an appearance on a Christmas TV show, the four musicians couldn’t agree on which song they should play, so they decided to write their own Christmas blues song. “Under the Christmas Tree” was very popular with the audience, who wanted to see more. Spurred on by this success, Prammerdorfer/Diwald was unstoppable, composing countless songs and writing lyrics. The second year of concerts was largely made up of original songs. It was clear that these songs also needed to be recorded, and so in March of 2017 TRBB released their first album of songs that were written by Peter Prammerdorfer and Mike Diwald. But the creative potential of the two songwriters was far from exhausted, and by the end of 2017 they had once again accumulated so much new material that they returned to the studio.
